Was one of the most important players for Jong Oranje but has encountered heavy competition from Wilfred Bouma.  This experienced player is competing this season in Spain for Malaga.  After sitting on the bench of Ajax and Bordeaux, he now finds himself in a similar situation in Malaga.  He is a textbook case of a player who went abroad too early.  After the Olympic Games he will be too old for Jong Oranje and must fight not to disappear from the Dutch football picture.
